Wynn Resorts has confirmed that Elaine Wynn, co-founder of the business with ex-husband and current chairman and CEO Steve Wynn, has lost her seat on the company’s board having lost her bid to be re-elected as a director.
Elaine Wynn, who retained a seat on the board as part of a 2010 divorce settlement with Steve Wynn and who remains the company's third-largest shareholder, said in a statement that she was disappointed but hopes that with her fight she has "once again served as an agent of change and improvement for this company, which I love so deeply."
Thanking Elaine Wynn for her service, Wynn Resorts reported the preliminary outcome of the vote but did not reveal any details or the margin.
