GamCrowd and Clarion Events have agreed a content and event partnership that covers ICE, GiGse and EiG.

The commitment, which has a renewal option at the end of the initial contract, will see crowdfunding and crowdsourcing platform GamCrowd reprise the Pitch ICE competition at ICE 2016.

The first event covered by the new arrangement will be GiGse 2015, which takes place at Hyatt Regency, San Francisco, from April 20 to 22.

For the next two editions of the event GamCrowd is supporting the Start-Up LaunchPad competition, where companies will pitch their business propositions in front of investors and a room full of top-level executives. Chairman Ian Hogg will lead the judging panel and GamCrowd will create unique content in the build-up to, as well as at, the event.

The companies will also host Start-Up LaunchPad at EiG 2015 and 2016 and each individual winner at GiGse and EiG will gain access to the GamCrowd Incubator programme.

Across the exhibitions, GamCrowd will run a series of workshops and seminars designed to appeal to investors and start-ups. It will also produce a series of white papers and thought leadership materials during the partnership.

Kate Chambers, portfolio director responsible for Clarion's gaming events, said: “Entrepreneurship is the heartbeat of the gaming industry and I get great pleasure seeing the fledgling businesses we have helped support, grow and flourish alongside ICE, EiG, GiGse and our other gaming brands. This partnership reflects our commitment to and support for those start-ups whose currency is innovation.”
