Betway has agreed a long-term partnership with English Premier League football club West Ham United, which sees Betway become the club’s new principal sponsor.

The deal saw the Betway logo appear on the front of West Ham players’ shirts for the first time for yesterday's match with Manchester United, a game that ended in a 1-1 draw, and also includes naming rights to the stadium’s West Stand.

The partnership covers West Ham’s final season at the Boleyn Ground home, which begins in August, and a new era for the club as it moves to the London Olympic Park in the summer of 2016.

Betway executive director Bob Dutnall said: “West Ham is a club with a rich history and passionate supporters and we’re thrilled to have secured this sponsorship at a time when the team is performing so well.

“The Premier League is the world’s most popular football competition and the sport is synonymous with excitement and betting, making it a perfect fit for our growing brand."

In a separate move, Betway signed a partnership with the sports radio station talkSPORT. The sportsbook will offer insight and odds to listeners of the station’s popular Weekend Sports Breakfast show, hosted by Georgie Bingham and Micky Quinn
