Mark Pincus, the co-founder of social gaming giant Zynga, the company behind FarmVille, is to launch an app development company, ft.com reports.

The move comes six months after Pincus said he would step away from a day-to-day operational role at Zynga.

The new venture, Superlabs, will create consumer products and services for mobile devices. Pincus said his aim was to create products in the mould of Uber, the taxi app service, which is used by hundreds of millions of people.
