A survey of online gamblers in the US state of New Jersey, undertaken by Commercial Intelligence in June 2014, found that one in five players aged 21-24 have visited a land-based casino for the first time since i-gaming was launched in the state in November 2013.

The finding, part of the Wave 2 of the New Jersey Player Survey, suggests that regulated i-gaming has been effective at bringing a younger player demographic to bricks-and-mortar gaming establishments.

The data also reports a significant decline in the number of players playing on non-approved sites, with a reduced 16 per cent of players declaring in June that they kept loyal to the sites they had been using before November 2013 against the 24 per cent in February.
