Continent 8 Technologies continues to demonstrate there is no let up in its determination to pursue global growth in 2014 as new markets open up and i-gaming operators explore further opportunities.

“The need for innovative IT solutions and a robust infrastructure to handle increased complexities is critical amid the increasing regulatory demands which face the i-gaming industry,” said director of global sales Peter Williams.

“While parts of Europe are reaching market maturity there is significant interest in South America and Asia is very much a growing market,” said Williams, while emphasising that the company continues to focus on the US where it has recently launched a data centre in New Jersey.

The facility in Atlantic City will offer the full suite of Continent 8 services to licensed gaming operators and software providers in that newly regulated market.

“We see this as one of the most significant milestones in Continent 8’s ongoing global expansion which again demonstrates our focus on the delivery of market-defining internet technologies, products and services for the global online gaming industry.”

Continent 8 has data centres in London, Paris, Dublin, Montreal, Isle Of Man, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Malta, Singapore and New Jersey, making it the leading provider of co-location, managed services and network solutions to the i-gaming industry.

Dublin, now with its dedicated 10-strong team, is providing first and second line global support services alongside the company’s existing centre in Montreal.

It is only weeks since the privately owned company unveiled its revolutionary new Cloud Backup product, built to enable secure backups from any device. “It allows clients to quickly recover lost files, documents, and critical data, protecting them from disruption and long-term damage that lost data can cause,” said Williams.

The introduction of this new product is against a backdrop of mounting pressure to improve disaster recovery practices with organisations looking for affordable alternatives to existing backup methods that are falling short in terms of efficiency, reliability and ease of use.

So, there is little doubt that Continent 8’s continuing growth spiral unequivocally underlines the company’s success. This is all apparent at its head office on the Isle of Man with the completion of a new data hall, adding 40 additional high-density racks to the footprint. Gibraltar is undergoing an electrical upgrade and data hall expansion to cater for increased demand and stabilise future infrastructure there.

In just over a year since opening a London office the company has had to move into bigger premises, while still ensuring the team is only a flight away from its international base.
