Golden Nugget Atlantic City is to wait “approximately a week” to launch its internet gaming site while another six New Jersey casinos were given the green light to offer a full online service.
The Golden Nugget delays follow reports that slot games were prone to freezing and generating an error message.
Meanwhile, the Borgata, the Tropicana, the Trump Plaza, the Trump Taj Mahal, Bally’s Atlantic City and Caesars Atlantic City were all approved to offer real-money online gaming from today, Tuesday, November 26.
“At this point in time, the casinos are trying to gear up for larger play in the state,” said David Rebuck director of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
Rebuck added that although he couldn’t confirm how many people had logged on during the test period he was able report that “it topped 10,000” fairly early during the test.
