Delaware has become the first US state to go live with an intrastate online gaming offer that includes slots, table games and poker.
Scientific Games has been contracted by the Delaware Lottery to be the primary vendor and, along with 888 Holdings, is now operating online gaming in the state for an initial term of five years.
The lottery holds four additional one-year contract extension options.
Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, Delaware Park and Harrington Raceway and Casino - the three licensed video lottery agents in Delaware - each has its own distinct i-gaming website connected to the lottery’s single platform, and each serves as the primary point of engagement with their players.
"This is an exciting and important day for the state of Delaware and for the gaming industry as a whole," said lottery director Vernon Kirk.
“Delaware has long been a frontrunner in gaming innovation and we are particularly pleased to have Scientific Games and 888 as our partners as we bring this ground-breaking playing experience to Delawareans.”
