Sheriff Gaming is “working hard” to have its Alderney gambling licence reinstated, the company said.

Earlier this week, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission confirmed that the licence of Bubble Group, which trades as Sheriff, “remains suspended.”

It was initially suspended by the AGCC in September as part of an ongoing investigation that began in May. This was instigated in order to “confirm that the bases on which Bubble Group BV and its sponsors were approved [for the certificate] remain correct.”

In response to the announcement, which followed a private hearing at the Royal Automobile Club in London, Sheriff issued a statement confirming that Bubble’s licence had not been revoked.

“Since it was a closed hearing, we are not able to address the details of said hearing, however we are all now working hard to have the licence successfully reinstated as quickly as possible,” it said. “In the meantime, it’s business as usual at Bubble as we continue to create cutting edge products on behalf of all our clients.”

The only clients the company cannot work with currently, it said, are category one licensees of the AGCC.
