Alderney

Overview

A gateway to Europe, Alderney appeals to world gaming companies as an ideal i-gaming jurisdiction. Providing a well-regulated business environment, a favourable tax regime and world-class IT infrastructure, it has become an attractive option for number of key companies which are licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.

Alderney’s regulatory and supervisory framework has enabled it to enter into negotiations with a number of EU member states in relation to concluding bilateral agreements on passporting into Europe.

A progressive jurisdiction, it also took further steps by introducing new legislation in 2010. Alderney’s vision is to provide a base for global and regional i-gaming companies founded on a combination of innovative and competitive regulation, a competitive commercial environment and a high technical capability.

Alderney’s new licensing framework takes a modular approach, enabling operators to select the right elements for their business, reducing costs and complexity. It is also compatible with the growing popularity of national licensing models and is tax efficient in that it does not impose double gaming duties and taxes.
