The so-called deep web is the internet that Google cannot see – and its depths are home to a flourishing trade in stolen and cloned credit cards, the use of which remains a significant source of i-gaming fraud. INTERGAMINGi dives in - and talks to the traffickers.

WHEN convicted (and reformed) fraudster Tony Sales talked to iNTERGAMINGi, he cited how easy it was to source a stolen credit card on the “deep web”.

In fact, ahead of EiG 2013, he obtained such a card and successfully used it to deposit a sum in an online gaming account. Interviewed for this issue’s payments feature, Don Bush of Kount made similar reference, quoting a UK credit card purchase price of just £1.
