COMTRADE Gaming has grabbed the headines in the last year, striking deals with big names such as Net Entertainment and Genting, and launching some eye-catching new products including iCore, the Enterprise Gaming Platform.

Appointed as Comtrade Gaming’s general manager in the summer of 2013, Aleš Gornjec reflects on recent triumphs, sets out how his company intends to build on that success in the coming year and, crucially, how it will stay ahead of its rivals in a highly competitive field.

INTERGAMINGi: ICE has become the biggest gaming show in the calendar - what does Comtrade Gaming hope to gain from this year’s event?

AG: “ICE is the most important gaming industry event for us. We will be exhibiting at the show for the eighth year in a row. “We hope to have another successful presentation of our latest products and their developments, to strenghten relationships with our existing partners, and to open some new opportunities with potential clients.

“Since we are active on both land-based and online/mobile sides of the industry, we find ICE the best place to present all our products and services at once.”

What are the company’s leading services and products?

“Comtrade Gaming provides technology solutions to gaming operators, vendors and regulators. Our solutions are based on our comprehensive portfolio of gaming platforms combined with the touch of customisation and operational support services. “For the online part of the gaming industry, our flagship product would be iCore, the Enterprise Gaming Platform, which was designed for premium operators that need a central platform to manage player accounts across all channels and products.

“On the land-based side our investment into new technology has paid off – the industry is now moving towards open standards defined by the Gaming Standards Association, and we have built our sCore Gaming Systems Management product family with these in mind.”
