Kiron Interactive’s Steven Spartinos considers the progress the virtual sports and gaming specialist has made and looks to ICE 2014.

Virtual racing

WE’VE come a long way at Kiron Interactive in the last decade - and so too has virtual sports betting.

Back in 2001, we established the company in Johannesburg to develop and operate an online virtual horseracing skill game called Turfmaster. In 2007 we added a new virtual gaming division to focus on the development of a variety of virtual sports and gaming products for both the online and retail arms of the industry.

I’m pleased to say that the content available on those products is now among the most comprehensive around, with visitors to our stand (S1-232) at ICE Totally Gaming 2014 set to be greeted by our biggest portfolio to date.

As well as new graphics on our horseracing and greyhound offerings, we have developed a new complementary trotting game which we know will be popular. Added to our platform in 2014 will be at least five new virtual sports products including motor racing and cycling among others. We believe all these will have widespread appeal in a number of jurisdictions around the world. Available soon will also be a new version of VSoft’s virtual football game, the Fantastic League, which is fully integrated on the Kiron platform.

Virtual sports betting is increasingly sought after in casinos, as well as its more traditional home in the betting shop environment. But to broaden our appeal to the widest possible audience we will also debut a new keno game this year, ensuring we’re not neglecting our casino customers. Those customers have become used to waiting for scheduled virtual sports events in order to have a bet.
