Unicum, one of the major players in the Russian market, and Estonia-based Videobet, a leader in server-based gaming, announced a joint venture at the Kiev show.
With its domestic market in meltdown, Unicum looked to Ukraine as a good prospect to fill the gap. The two companies have launched a project to produce slot machines for the Ukrainian market.
“This project will also help to develop and promote the Ukraine market,” said Videobet CEO Shmuel Weiss. “Together with Unicum we will produce slot machines in Kiev. We are looking to install 5,000 in the first year, representing a $20m investment.”
