Stenning originally founded Playsafe Monitoring and has led the combined Embed Playsafe business in the UK since the two businesses merged three years ago. In this new role, he will be responsible for leading a range of special development projects that Embed is undertaking as part of its “next generation” of solutions for the amusement, gaming and leisure sectors.

“David is an icon within the UK gaming industry and he has not only been a great leader of the Embed Playsafe business but has shaped the way monitoring and management systems are generally used within the industry today,” said Embed CEO Adam Steinberg. “I have the deepest respect and admiration for David and with his vast knowledge and experience he is the perfect person to drive new product initiatives we are developing.”

Stenning said “the time is right” to step down from managing the operation of the business, with the two companies coming together to form a “fantastic platform” for future growth.

“Everything we have worked for as Playsafe is now a very important part of a bigger group and the future is very secure,” he continued. “I am also extremely pleased to be taking up this role, as working on new developments and business opportunities has always been an area I really enjoy and I am very excited about this new position.”

As part of the management restructuring, Embed has appointed Tim Kane as the new general manager of Embed Playsafe, with responsibility for UK and European operations. He joins the company after having previously gained experience at Legoland Windsor and Landmark Group, the operator of the Fun City chain of family entertainment centres in the UAE.
