Innovative Technology, the UK money handling specialist, is developing an ‘Innovative Business Park’ on land adjacent to its Oldham, UK, factory.

Managing Director Aidan Towey told InterGame that the spare land is now being used to build four small industrial units to develop offshoot technologies, uncovered during research and development for the company’s main business.

“We have often found side-products to our research which have needed separate development. We have 1.5 acres of spare land and there is a pool of talent in the local community, so we have put these factors together.”

The four industrial units are now being completed, he said, and will be equipped to carry out further development of what he described as “by-products of research in our core business which have commercial prospects.”  On April 13 the company will hold a recruitment open day in the factory to pinpoint the local talent which will be used in the venture.

“There is certain to be aspiring entrepreneurs among the young people in the surrounding area. They will be welcome to come in to talk with us about their ideas and our ideas. The new development teams will be led by senior management from Innovative Technology.”
