Landmark Leisure, one of the Middle East’s biggest FEC operators, is continuing its programme of “creating exceptional value for the lives we touch” with parenting workshops at its Fun City locations.

Fun City

The company has used a panel of child psychologists and parenting experts to provide insight into parenthood guidance at selected Fun City locations in Dubai.

This month the company will run its workshops at two of its locations; the Fun City at the Ibn Batuta Mall on March 16 will concentrate on “Building Confidence and Promoting Resilience” and on March 30 it will host a session on “Positive Discipline” at its Oasis Centre store.

The company ran its first parenting workshops in February, focusing on “Play in the lives of children” and “The many languages of children” which were a great success. The workshops were operated by Dr Sandra Willis, the parenting specialist at Fun City and owner of the Inspire children’s nursery. Dr Willis helped parents with information designed to enable them to enjoy their role as parents while dealing with regular issues associated with rearing children.

A company spokesman said: “These parenting sessions are being conducted on an ongoing basis at dates to fit in with the busy schedules of average parents.

“We hope that attendees will find that the parenting experts will engage with them and help them to understand parenting better through introspection and finding answers specific to their own situations.”
