The new laws came into effect on July 13 and pushes the maximum stake on a game to €1 and the prize up to 500 times the stake. The speed of the game is now a fast three seconds, which is averaged over a half-hour’s play.

Machines may now be installed in bars, cafés or any other location which serves food and drinks, including coffee shops and a maximum of three AWP machines per site are now permitted – up from two.
