Several arcades have been damaged and robbed during this week's violence on Britain's streets.

In Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester, an amusement arcade was plundered and machines were overturned and the Agora Amusement arcade near Holloway Road in London faced damage as a group of looters stole two slot machines and cracked windows.

"There were three staff here last night when that happened," said James Smith, an assistant at the arcade in London. "They were all absolutely petrified; they had no idea what would happen."
