Intercard, debit card technology provider, recently completed an installation in Fat Cats’ FEC in Rexburg, Idaho, US.

The Rexburg centre is one of six popular Fat Cat’s FECs that offer movies, bowling, arcades and other family attractions. Jacob Glider, the general manager of Fat Cats’ in Rexburg, said the Intercard system has eliminated problems with the previous card readers. "You swipe it once and it works the first time," he explained. "Before, it took multiple tries to get it to work." He also appreciates Intercard's automatic software updates, which save IT maintenance time.

Jonathan Wilson of Intercard handled the installation, which includes 39 iReader Eclipse II readers, an iTeller automated teller and a redemption management system that utilises some of the customer's existing hardware.

The Intercard system integrated smoothly with Fat Cats' existing Vista POS system, so customers can use one card for multiple attractions. "We can use it at our front counter, our arcade, you can use it for bowling, movies, golf, everything that we have here," he added.

Amber Collier of Intercard's North America sales group said: "Fat Cats' management was very pleased that we could utilise their existing database and easily transfer over customers' card info and balances. That makes switching from another vendor's system pretty painless for everyone."
