With Sega reporting a number of operators calling Daytona Championship USA their sites’ number one driver, the company has expanded its manufacturing to a second factory.

Sega expands Daytona production

Vince Moreno, sales manager at Sega, said: “We are shipping games as fast as we can build them and in order to keep up with this we have two dedicated factories. In our efforts not to disappoint customers, we encourage them to place their orders as soon as possible.”

Justin Burke, general manager at Sega, said: “Now that the first wave of machines are on location we are getting requests from operators for more machines for their estates - you can’t ask for more than that.”

Phil Ellis of Teenspirit FEC in the UK, said: “As soon as Daytona was launched we knew we had to have it; we are really pleased with the income and have now ordered extra ones for other sites.”

Sega credits many things to the game’s success from its dual monitor set-up and the recrafting of the original classic tracks to the new “instant rematch” feature.
