Novomatic Netherlands has bought the seven SuperGame arcades owned by Ron and Marcel Traarbach, we have just learned.

Novomatic

The Dutch subsidiary of Novomatic already has 10 locations in the country under the Casino Admiral and Funtastic Casino brands. The new acquisitions, in the Limburg region, located at Valkenburg, Heerlen, Beek, Vaals, Roermond, Geleen and Hoensbroek, fit well into the growth strategy of Novomatic Netherlands.

Paul Strikers, CEO of the Novomatic subsidiary, said: “We are looking forward to further co-operating with Ron and Marcel Traarbach. It was clear from our negotiations with them that mutual backgrounds and attitudes meant that we could quickly arrive at a mutually satisfying agreement and that future co-operation would require only a minimum of work.”

Said Ron Traarbach: “The gaming market is undergoing even more professionalisation. Connecting with a party that has all the disciplines in-house was a logical choice. It meant that the newly-enlarged group could immediately operate the right product for the right location.”

Robert Meijer, CEO of Novomatic Netherlands, commented: “We are pleased with this further expansion of the group and the strengthening of our team with Ron and Marcel Traarbach and their colleague Peter Spelier, who will initiate new affiliates for us. They will be great ambassadors.”

Marcel Traarbach said that the deal would enable them to focus on the online gaming machine as well as stay in touch with the land-based business. “We will continue to remain active as brand ambassadors for Novomatic Netherlands and will seek further opportunities to expand.”

Novomatic Netherlands is part of Novomatic Gaming Industries founded in 1984 by Johann Graf in Austria. Today it has a turnover of nearly €4bn, 28,000 employees and is active in 80 countries, with offices in 50 countries.
