The biggest names in Middle East FEC operating will form the nucleus of the panelists in the day two sessions of the MENALAC Conference, due to be held during the DEAL trade show in Dubai (March 26-27).

Top FEC brains gather

The heads of the four biggest operating companies will be taking part, together with the principals of the big new theme parks in the emirate.

The second day of the conference will be aimed at discussing the current state of the industry in the region, which the new trade association has been set up to represent. The speakers include Mohammed Gad from the emirate’s International Accreditation Centre, the authority that sets the safety standards for the industry.

Also among the panelists will be Majed Al Hokair, main board director at the Al Hokair group; his younger brother Mishal Al Hokair, deputy CEO and general manager; Fahad Al Othaim, CEO of the entertainments division at Al Othaim; Lennard Otto, CEO of IMG Worlds of Adventure; Chris Schwartz, CEO of Wild Wadi theme park; Damien Latham, CEO at MAF Leisure; Silvio Liedtke, CEO at Landmark Leisure; Markus Mack-Even, chief project officer at IMG Worlds of Adventure; and a speaker from the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority.

The moderators of the conference sessions will include David Snook, a partner in InterGame, which is the Official Publication of MENALAC.
