Innovative Technology’s NV200 Spectral, which will be unveiled at ICE Totally Gaming in February, has received independent bank test approvals from European Central Bank, Bank of England and the Central Bank of Russia.

NV200 Spectral receives bank test approval

All banks grant approval to validators that can successfully recognise the difference between genuine and counterfeit banknotes. The unit passed all three tests and could find all required security features, correctly identify them and reject all manipulated notes.

Dr Matt Strong, the company’s technology director, said: “We are obviously delighted with the outcome and in particular with the Central Bank of Russia test due its notoriously stringent requirements. Passing the bank tests proves the high level of performance which the NV200 Spectral has and gives the business much credibility; it really is the most technically advanced note validator in its class.”

The unit boasts 99 per cent plus first time acceptance of new and street grade notes with a note-to-note processing time of two seconds, including new optical anti-strimming technology that delivers outstanding fraud protection due to its highly secure spectral sensors which offer complete note image scanning with over 4.8 million datapoints to authenticate the validity of notes.
