According to Middle East Construction News, there will probably be three major Six Flags amusement parks opening in Saudi Arabia by 2020 or 2021.

Quoting the news agency Reuters, MECN said that the parks would probably be government owned and would cost between US$300m and $500m each to build.

Riyadh would be the first location with Jeddah to follow and another to be built on the Red Sea coast. The exclusive rights to develop and operate Six Flags parks in the Gulf Co-operation Council region are held by Dubai Parks and Resorts, but it granted a waiver to Saudi Arabia for the development of attractions in its own country.

Six Flags operates 20-plus theme and water parks in North America. It has also signed an agreement to develop two water parks in Vietnam.
