Tabcorp’s licence with Queensland Keno has been extended by 25 years to 2047.

Tabcorp’s Queensland Keno licence extension finalised

In April 2013, the Queensland government said it would extend Tabcorp’s Queensland Keno licence in return for Tabcorp making a $20m payment to the state. Tabcorp has made the payment to the state and the necessary documentation has now been completed.

Tabcorp’s managing director and CEO, David Attenborough, said: “The extension of our Keno licence provides long-term certainty for Tabcorp’s operations in Queensland and underpins our commitment to invest in the state.

“Keno is an important part of our operations and we share a substantial part of the benefits with the Queensland community and our licensed venue partners.”

Tabcorp is Australia’s largest provider of Keno and operates the social lottery game in 1,170 hotels, clubs and casinos in Queensland, as well as 2,480 venues in New South Wales and Victoria. Keno is played by around 600,000 Queenslanders each year.
