We are sad to report the death of Brenda Bellis, the wife of David Bellis, the Coin Controls founder who went on to found Innovative Technology, the UK-based payment systems specialist.
David and Brenda Bellis will be familiar to many of the longer-serving members of the industry; indeed, David is still the chairman of ITL. Brenda, who was in her late 70s, was a regular attendee at many industry functions and was a keen golfer. At one time she had her own components company in the industry, Busy Bee.
We have no further details at this time, except that we understand Brenda was not suffering from any long-term illness and passed away on Monday.
Brenda and David have a son, Andrew, married to Sarah and they have two children, Zoe and Grace. They live in Rockford, Illinois, US. They also have a daughter, Wendy who lives in Lancashire, UK, with her partner Mike and two children, Patrick and Daniel.
Brenda and David lived close to the ITL base in Oldham, Lancashire.
