Work has begun on the Six Flags theme park being built by Dubai Parks and Resorts in Dubai.

It will be the fourth attraction to be opened by the group in the UAE, following Motiongate, Legoland and Bollywood - all also to be opened in Dubai and scheduled for October.

Twenty-seven rides are earmarked for Six Flags in six themed zones and it is reported that a second Six Flags for the Middle East will be built in neighbouring Saudi Arabia.
