The Polish government has adopted a bill that it hopes will curb the grey market in some forms of gambling, including slot machines and online gaming.
The bill establishes a state-run monopoly on online gambling and on slot machines located outside of casinos, among other provisions.
The government expects the change to generate around €145m in the first year after implementation, €340m in the second and €530m in the third and beyond.
