The improvement in the Spanish economy may be having an effect on the fortunes of the big Spanish trade show, FER Interazar, which moved to a biannual event two years ago, missing out on 2016.
Preparations for the 2017 return of the show indicate a strong positive reaction from Spanish and foreign companies. The show is set for the Feria de Madrid congress halls complex for three days beginning Tuesday, March 28.
The dates will clash with the major Middle East trade show, DEAL, which is held annually in Dubai.
The biggest exhibitor at FER is almost certain to be Novomatic, through its Spanish subsidiary, which has reserved more than 1,200sq.m of space, the largest in the history of the show and one-third larger than its stand at the 2015 exhibition.
The organisers report that already the exhibition’s firm bookings have surpassed the floor area of the last FER.
