The event, which isl being held at the Computer History Museum in San Jose on May 2- 4, is supported by developers and investors in out-of-home entertainment and those breaking into this new sector of the virtual reality market.

Following a keynote presentation yesterday from Kevin Williams of KWP, featured speakers included Zero Latency, Vizuality Studio, Virtual World Arcade and MantisVR, while a second session that day included representatives from Figment Productions, Enterspace, Virsix and MediaMation.

VR software and hardware panel sessions included representatives from OSVR, PhaseSpace, VirZoom, VicoVR, Praevidi and Tactical Haptics, while Silica Nexus presented cross-immersive game systems incorporating VR.

Today, Nolan Heimann, attorney and advisor in the VR and gaming fields, will give a detailed presentation on the successful steps needed to champion, and protect, ideas in this emerging sector.

There will also be a number of tutorials and tech talks expanding on discussions in previous panel sessions and around 30 exhibitors will be on the accompanying show floor.
