Coastal Amusements has collaborated with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a non-profit organisation whose mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Temple Run 2

Some children want the opportunity to meet celebrities, others to go on Caribbean cruises, but one youngster wanted to play Subway Surfers and Temple Run 2 in the comfort of his home. His wish was not to play the mobile app games but to play the full-size, coin-op versions seen in FECs.

“We were thrilled when asked if we could help”, said Sal Mirando, co-owner of Coastal. “We discussed the matter and immediately agreed to grant his wish.

“When you are given the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life, you take it. It’s that simple.”

Coastal enlisted the help of Tony Shamma and his team at American Vending Sales to make arrangements to deliver and install the games in the home.

“Tony immediately signed on to help,” said Mirando. “His response was, ‘How can I say no?’ ”
