The UK amusement industry is “heading in the right direction,” according to Aristidis Tsikouras, managing director of cash-handling solutions provider GeWeTe.

“British operators continue to place more emphasis on quality, particularly for change/cash handling machines,” he said.

GeWeTe has responded to the increased demand by strengthening its UK team. Two new colleagues, Owen Thomas and Carlo Starsk, made their EAG International debut in London earlier this month.

“We intend to further expand the team this year,” said Mark Edmundson, who heads up GeWeTe UK and Ireland. “We very much believe in the UK market and have invested strongly. We now offer complete technical support and all spares needs ourselves.

“We have a wide array of cash handling solutions. Our customers appreciate that we can match the right product to fit their own requirements. Furthermore, we offer technical training and are always available for support. We are here for the long term."

The UK market is becoming more diverse, with TITO playing an increasingly important role. Whether operators wish to offer cash handling solutions for cash, CITO, TITO, bingo or sports betting, GeWeTe has the right solution for each application, Tsikouras said.

“Our brand name carries real weight in the UK. We have been active in the British market for over 15 years now,” he continued. “The feedback has been excellent here at EAG. We are very satisfied with the show and have taken several orders. Quality stands the test of time and the return on investment is a powerful reason for operators to choose our products as they know they will be in full operation for many, many years.

GeWeTe also showed its kiddie rides at EAG, which took place at the ExCeL centre on January 12-14.
