Debit card systems specialist Intercard has appointed Lynda Brotherton as its new marketing director.

Intercard, best known for systems that go into family entertainment centres but is also into casino debit cards, has brought in Brotherton to handle its branding, advertising, public relations, web content and sales materials.

Notably, Brotherton has personal experience of the Middle East, a market in which Intercard is heavily involved in the growth of the amusement industry.

Brotherton attended the American University in Cairo, Egypt, but more recently was an executive producer at Avatar Studios in St Louis, US. She continues to serve as a political commentator on American TV.

This experience has earned Brotherton a reputation as a connector, building strong relationships in political circles, and her experience in television has helped raise more than $15m in the US state of Missouri for various state political candidates, campaigns, businesses and non-profit organisations.
