Embed has been awarded the IAAPA Brass Ring Award for its smartTouch Reader, chosen as the Best New Product winner in the Revenue and Admission Control/Wristbands/RFID Technology category.

Embed - Brass Ring Award

This award, which Embed is receiving for the second time, is awarded by the association to recognise excellence and creativity in entertainment. The smartTouch product is designed to meet the requirement for a more seamless experience when visiting family entertainment centres.

It was developed from the ground up with guests, operators and technical staff in mind, the company said.

Two models of the smartTouch family, Insert and Tap, have officially launched at IAAPA this week, with a Swipe version set for release in early 2016.

“We’re highly appreciative of our pilot customers who’ve helped us shape the smartTouch Readers into a ground-breaking platform for guest interaction and service innovation. We look forward to empowering all operators with this powerful technology in the months and years ahead,” said Theo Sanders, CEO of Helix Leisure.

Video playback, advanced ticket management, dual speaker audio, a toughened touchscreen supporting service and installation modes via its smartTouch interface, and Embed’s ColorGlo technology make smartTouch Embed’s most advanced product family yet.
