US-based family entertainment centre chain Main Event Entertainment saw revenues jump 30.8 per cent in the three months to September 30.

The company, part of the Australian Ardent Leisure group, reported total revenues of $37.42m for the period. EBITDA, meanwhile, was up 28.2 per cent to $8.33m.

Main Event is planning to open seven new locations in the second half of the 2016 fiscal year, followed by a further eight new venues in FY17. This will increase the size of the company’s current estate of 20 venues to a total of 35.

The FEC operator has six centres now operating in states beyond its primary base of Texas and it confirmed its plans to accelerate the roll out of the brand nationally.
