The Spanish gaming company Dosniha Gaming, subsidiary of the German Gauselmann Group, has changed its name to Merkur Dosniha.

According to the company the move was made in an effort to create “unity within all the members of the group of companies.”

Dosniha merged with Gauselmann in March 2012, multiplying its value, the quality of its products and its operational capacity.

Jürgen Stühmeyer, sales director for Gauselmann, said: “Merkur Dosniha has advanced to become an industry leader in the Spanish gaming segment in a very short space of time and has become an important member of the family-managed Gauselmann companies. The recent outstanding market entry in the bar sector also mirrors the successful strategy of the Spanish subsidiary. The next logical step is to integrate Merkur Dosniha into the core brand of the Gauselmann Group.”

Carlos Chacón, CEO of Merkur Dosniha, said: “Being able to use the Merkur brand is an honour and privilege in our industry. It implies quality, success, experience, innovation and entertainment. However, we are also keeping the Dosniha brand as a measure of respect to the path beyond the success, as well as keeping the reputation that our team has built for itself on the Spanish market.”
