Thunder World, Ooty, India, the first and only amusement park in the Niligiri hill station has implemented Semnox’s Park Management System to automate the operation of its location.

Thunder World

Thunder World is the first of its kind attraction in India with over 23 life-sized simulated models of moving dinosaurs with some as high as 60ft tall.

The park, on a five-acre site near the Boat House also houses a vintage camera gallery that includes the world’s smallest, largest and the oldest cameras on display. Along with this, Thunder World has several other rides and attractions, including a fully-fledged food court that serves a variety of Indian and continental dishes.

Thunder World brought in Semnox Solutions to automate the day-to-day operation of the park by implementing Semnox’s ticketing module to manage the entry and exit to the park along with Semnox’s food court management solution to track revenues and effectively manage the food counters. Semnox also implemented the online reporting module for the managers and directors of the park to access reports on the internet.

“Our selection of Semnox’s park management software followed a long and careful evaluation of competitive offerings designed to help us manage our theme park,” said Vincent Adaikalaraj, executive director, LA Group.

“We found a number of significant enhancements in Semnox’s ability to manage not only our many resources, but also our underlying ticketing requirement as well as our food court.”
