Gala Bingo in the UK will open a new club, the first new-build club in nine years from the group, which invested £5m in the venture. It is at Antelope Park, Southampton, and will open its doors in January 2016.
Fresh ideas in the new club will include a range of differentiated zones in which to play and a fresh thinking around improved facilities aimed at attracting a younger audience.
There will be one play area where the abolition of noise will not be a feature while the traditional silence will be observed in the neighbouring 500-seat main hall with soundproof glass between them.
An arcade of new-style machines, after-hours bingo, and pub-style food menu in a restaurant will also be included together with an outdoor terrace for smokers where the game may still be played.
