Germany’s Gauselmann Group has recruited Brian Meacher to head up its sales at its Merkur Gaming Africa subsidiary in South Africa.
Meacher took up his new role on July 1. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the gaming industry and considerable knowledge of the African market.
As managing director of Merkur Gaming Africa he will consolidate the market position of Gauselmann there and develop its sales in the region. The company regards Africa as the most rapidly-developing continent and has had a presence there for several years through a distribution partner.
Meacher will step up the licensing process for South Africa in both the casino and limited payout machine sectors. Said Jürgen Stühmeyer, sales director at Gauselmann: “We have been able to gain an industry expert in Brian who will support us in best making use of our opportunities and potential. He will strengthen existing customer relations and develop new potential markets.”
