UK-based cash-handling solutions firm Innovative Technology has officially opened its new 3,300sq.m head office and global development centre in Oldham, near Manchester.

ITL - new offices

The company first moved to the site in 1998 and created the Innovative Business Park in 2013 to house its new head office and its new subsidiary companies, such as ticketing technology specialist InnoPrint. The success of its existing cash-handling product range, coupled with its strategy to invest in new technology, prompted it to expand its facilities to accommodate a greater number of research and commercial staff.

The opening ceremony, which saw UK staff joined by colleagues from across IT’s European offices, was performed by chairman David Bellis, who founded the company in 1992. This was followed by a UK vs. The Rest of the World football match and concluded with a party that ran well into the early hours.

“It was great to be able to bring all of our European colleagues together to officially open the new building and celebrate in style,” said managing director Aidan Towey. “The official opening provided the perfect opportunity to welcome all of our colleagues to our new offices.”
