The UK national press today listed Gauselmann along with Bridgepoint, Risk Capital Partners and OPCapita as potential bidders.

Scientific Games’ former CEO, Lorne Weil, is also the subject of speculation, with the suggestion that he may be putting together a US acquisition company to carry out the deal.

Gala Coral has 132 clubs and the national press suggests that it could be worth around £250m and that a sale is “four to six weeks away.”

Current front-runner is a management buyout led by Gala Bingo managing director Simon Wykes.
