Immersive attractions specialist Holovis is to deliver a complete family entertainment centre project in Xiamen, China.

“Essentially we’re fitting out the entire facility with our core technology,” CEO Stuart Hetherington told InterGame.

The project will include the installation of its interactive ImmersiveTheatres, MotionDomes, racing simulation technology, children’s gaming, interactive spaces, walls and floors.

“It’s huge and something I’ve been working on passionately with the China Holovis team and our Chinese partner and investor in this new facility,” Hetherington said. “I’ve recently returned from Xiamen after visiting the new venue already built and our creative team are now working on the final design of the experiential solutions required to fit into the facility masterplan.”

Describing it as a “partnership arrangement,” he explained that many of Holovis’ relationships “go beyond just a sale.”

“We always aim to build a close working relationship with our clients. We don’t just sell a product off a shelf, make the sale and walk away; we’re continually innovating with our clients and building partnerships with them to design new solutions together for the future as well.”

Hetherington acknowledged the Xiamen project is a major undertaking, but one that he is confident the company will deliver.

“We know we have the infrastructure, the team, the product and the capability to do it and getting it right sets a new standard in FECs,” he added.
