The year to March 31 saw record UK National Lottery ticket sales of £7.27bn, an increase of £546m on the previous year. National Lottery Good Causes and players shared a record-breaking £5.7bn.

Instant play games generated sales of £2.6bn, an increase of £487m on the previous year. This was driven in part by the launch of over 70 new scratchcards and online instant win games.

Sales through smartphones and tablets increased 60 per cent on the previous year and now accounts for over a third of all interactive sales

“Our success will continue to be driven by our focus on digital transformation, innovation, and offering our players an enhanced game portfolio and even greater convenience,” said chief executive Andy Duncan.
