An increase in the number of video lottery terminals across its estate helped Italian betting company SNAI Group record higher revenues last year.

The company experienced a 10.2 per cent rise in revenue to €478.8m, thanks, it said, to the combined effect of significant revenues from betting on virtual events and VLTs.

Last year, SNAI completed its plans to relocate around 1,000 VLTs to better performing premises, which was followed by the relocation of an additional 450 machines. At the end of December, there were 4,950 certified machines nationwide.

Revenues from its gaming machines segment, comprising both VLTs and AWPs, amounted to €278.5m, up from €251m in the previous year.

Overall, group EBITDA rose 14.4 per cent to €105.9m.
