LAI Games’ Snapshot 2 photo booth won the prestigious AMOA Innovator Award for 2015.
The award was created to recognise the efforts of manufacturers that bring unique, innovative and exciting games to market. The Innovator Award was presented to LAI’s Chris Brady at the AMOA breakfast and membership meeting on March 26.
Brady said: “It is an honour to receive this award from the AMOA. Our research and development team set out with the goal of creating a photo booth that would appeal to Gen Z by allowing them to interact with it through their smartphones or tablets. We are proud to have their achievement recognised by the association.”
Via a free mobile app, Snapshot 2 users can choose a variety of ways to interact with the booth. They can take new photos in the booth, decorate them and upload them to their mobile phones for sharing on an unlimited number of social networks. Alternatively, they can take photos previously captured on their phones, download them to the booth, then decorate and print them out. On return visits, players log in via QR code and have access to the photos they have previously taken in the booth.
Snapshot 2 features Instagram-style filters and stamps and accessories to decorate photos, as well as backgrounds that players can insert themselves into. The booth also features dual cameras for the classic photo and popular “selfie” angles, as well as flattering studio lighting.
