The Irish Gaming Show held in Dublin this week attracted record crowds, according to organiser John Purcell.

Held at the Red Cow Moran Hotel and Conference Centre on March 3-4, the 36th edition of the annual show attracted operators, suppliers and a variety of international manufacturers.

“It’s been incredible,” Purcell told InterGame on the second day of the show. “From an organiser’s point of view, the fact that we had the whole show sold out months ago was an indication that it was going to go well.

“We had the highest first-day attendance in the history of the show yesterday.”

Exhibitors were pleased with the response from visitors, he said, noting that for many, this year’s exhibition had been “covered and paid for” by the end of the first day.

“I don’t think there is anybody – apart from those with products that are pure demo – whose products aren’t going straight to site. We have guys that are regretting not bringing more products because the Irish guys are here to buy, simple as.”
