InterGame catches up with Bandai Namco Prize Division's James Anderson ahead of the London show.

James Anderson

Name: James Anderson

Position: General manager – Prize

Company: Bandai Namco Amusement Europe

I’ve attended 15 to 20 London amusements and coin-op shows

I used to attend some with my parents when I was young.

At 09:55 on January 13th you’ll find me… Ready and raring to go in the Prize area of the Bandai Namco Amusement Europe Booth #630

My main objective for EAG International is… To show our line-up to the market and to take orders. It is also important to hear feedback and market information on our products and those of our competitors.

Visitors should come to stand number 630… To see our amazing licensed product line-up, including Shaun the Sheep who has his own feature film next year. We will also unveil another massive film licence at the show for the Dreamworks movie Home, starring Rihanna. That will be huge in 2015. Then we have our market-leading electronics range, NAM-GEAR, and our biggest ever range of confectionary.

What I enjoy most about the show is… It is definitely the chance to see the customers. I used to be out on the road a lot but for the past few years I have been stuck in the office, so I don’t see customers as often as I would like. EAG is great for seeing everyone and having a catch up.

I‘ll be attending the first night party… Yes…  It would be rude not to!

The thing I love about being in London in January is… I live here so it is the same for me all year round, it just varies in the number of grey clouds in the sky and therefore the number of jumpers you need to wear!

My advice to first-time visitors to EAG International is… Bring warm clothes.

At the end of the show… I break the stand down with the staff, pack it up and head home!
