FEC specialist Playnation, in partnership with Sega and ICE, is launching a new crane, Grab ’n’ Win.

The new crane is operated with an SD card to allow total control of the game process by head office, meaning less operational complexity for site manager and more consistent gameplay, the company explained. The game mechanic also ensures that settings can be chosen based on the size, weight and the sound associated with each toy for a more engaging experience.

“We decided that we needed a crane to suit our business, which is slightly different to most operators - we have a lot of unmanned locations and we also try and standardise our offer across the whole of our operation,” said Playnation commercial director Mark Field. “Not only is this an innovation within the category, but it's another step for us to ensure our customers - and their customers - have the best experience possible when using our machines.”

Playnation currently operates over 20,000 machines in more than 1,500 locations in the UK within holiday parks, bowling alleys, airports and motorway service stations.
