The Spanish coin machine industry was shocked to learn of the death of Joaquim Falgas Pages of Industrias Falgas, the world’s largest producer of kiddie rides, on July 17. He was only 41 years.

Quim Falgas

Mr Falgas leaves a wife and three young children. He died at Girona Hospital after a short stay of only four days. The funeral service was held at the crematorium at Figueres, just outside of Gerona, and close to the company’s operational headquarters.

Joaquim Falgas took over the reins of the Falgas Group three years ago as CEO from his father, Joaquin Falgas Cardona.

Joaquin had grown Falgas from a small operator of children’s rides to a major operating company in Spain and developed his manufacturing business into the leading producer of kiddie rides in the world – a business continued successfully by his late son.

The Falgas company has been a strong supporter of InterGame since its inception in 1994 and we would like to join with the rest of the industry in offering our very sincere condolences to the Falgas Family.
